The Oruc Family Origins are in the Central Plains of Turkey but the family moved to Dalyan, not long after the region was granted World Heritage Status in order to protect the Caretta Caretta, the rare loggerhead turtle.

A chance visit to Dalyan by Charles Bentley, a teacher and experienced traveller, resulted in his deciding on investment in the village. Always thorough in his planning, Charles spent a great deal of time in deciding how to proceed with his dream of a home in Dalyan.

The Association with the Oruc family was the result of that exhaustive research.

Charles invited reluctant Dave Gibson, a former work colleague to look at Dalyan, as a result Dave now experiences difficulties in returning to Sunderland to attend to local business, because of his love of Dalyan. 

Charlie and Dave have two superb villas a piece and together with Colin Bentley, a marketing expert (the older brother of Charles) and Keith Puxty who has many years of experience in finance and property in Europe, the Company has grown.

The Whole of South West Turkey bears close examination. The Climate is near perfection. Plentiful Water means that at the height of summer, everything is green. The local fresh produce, fruit and vegetables, make for a healthy life, unless along with those fresh produce comes an unhealthy taste for the local “raki”, but if everything else in the weekly diet is so good, why not?
